The CEANGAL project which commenced on the 4th of January, 2022 organised a kick-off webinar and official logo launch on the 9th of February, 2022.
The webinar was about sharing the objectives and ideals of the project with the wider stakeholder community in Malawi, Ireland and across the world. It commenced with PI Ehiaze Ehimen explaining the unique concept behind the community-led project. Co-PI Esther Phiri introduced the work of MUBAS (Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences) and Unnikrishnan Madhavan (Research and Engagement) introduced IT Sligo.
This was followed by CEANGAL logo unveiling and website introduction by Paul McNama (IT Manager) and close.
The webinar generated immense interest from diverse stakeholders in both Ireland and Malawi. There were policymakers, energy industry reps, energy traders, community energy organisations and researchers from across the globe.
